摘要
N-[(1E)-(4-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)methylene]-1,3-thiazol-2-amine (NMT) a novel Schiff base ligand synthesized, and has been used to synthesise Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) complexes. The synthesized compounds were characterized using different physicochemical and spectroscopic techniques. The redox behaviour of the modified electrode MWCNT-[Co(NMT)2Cl2]/GCE was determined using cyclic voltammetry, showed significant findings regarding its electrochemical properties. The physico-chemical characterization of the modified electrode yielded promising outcomes, indicating favourable attributes for potential applications. This evaluation provides its behaviour and potential utility in various electrochemical applications. The presence of glucose in solutions of different concentration and different scan rate was electrochemically detected. The CV result show fairly good electrocatalytic activity linear range 10 to 80 mu ML- 1 with lower limit of detection (LOD) of 3.333 mu ML- 1 and sensitivity of 4.646x10- 7 mu A mu M- 1cm- 2 for glucose. The biological investigation of the synthesized Schiff base ligand and its metal complexes have been determined against the bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli), fungal (A. flavous and P. anomala) and antioxidant activity using Iron chelating assay by using standard assay method. The enzyme catalase result indicate that the [Co(NMT)2Cl2] and [Ni(NMT)2Cl2] are exhibiting excellent activity with the average result of 262 and 251 mu M/mg when compare to the standard 314 mu M/mg. Photodegradation ability of metal complexes has been studied using EBT and methylene blue dye.
