摘要
This paper presents a fresh utilization of the meta-heuristic Dung Beetle Optimizer (DBO) algorithm. Inspired by dung beetles' behavior, the DBO algorithm integrates various actions such as rolling, moving, searching, taking, generation, and more to enhance its efficiency. The study specifically applies the DBO algorithm to tackle power quality concerns, particularly within the realm of Hybrid Active Power Filters (HAPFs). By harnessing DBO's unique capabilities, the HAPF effectively addresses both voltage and current power quality issues. The research underscores the significance of attaining high-quality electricity by emphasizing reduced complexity, enhanced efficiency, and lowered costs. To validate the proposed approach, the study adopts a widely accepted HAPF configuration. In systems with nonlinear loads and sources, a dedicated function is established to quantify both total voltage harmonic distortion (VTHD) and total current harmonic distortion (ITHD), thus aiding in mitigating harmonic pollution (HP). Compared to existing algorithms, the DBO algorithm exhibits good performance and aligns with prior analyses and notable optimization methodologies.
