Myosin Inhibitors for Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy (HOCM): Is HOCM Passing Another Crossroads?

The evolution of therapeutic options in the treatment of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) was characterised by several milestones since its fi rst description in 1962. 1 Today, various forms of therapies are available to modify the natural course of this complex disease (Table 1; Fig. 1). 2-8 All of those different therapeutic options (medical, surgical, and interventional treatment) were important cornerstones in the treatment of patients suffering from HOCM throughout this history. It is of great importance to consider all available therapeutic strategies in the management of HOCM.
