The role of ethnic attire in enhancing self-efficacy at the workplace in India

摘要
In the workplace, the significance of attire has long been a subject of inquiry among researchers. This study investigates the specific impact of ethnic wear in the workplace, focusing on the culturally diverse context of India. Employing a quantitative approach, primary data is collected through a structured questionnaire, guided by an extensive literature review. While prior research has explored workplace attire, including uniforms, the use of ethnic attire in India's diverse setting represents a novel investigation. Statistical analyses, including t-tests, One-Way ANOVA, Factor Analysis, and Multiple Linear Regression, are employed to validate the study's objectives. The study found that employees wearing ethnic attire reported a 20% higher self-efficacy in culturally diverse environments. This enhanced understanding of the role of ethnic clothing in the workplace not only illuminates the factors influenced by such attire but also offers valuable managerial insights and contributes to a deeper understanding of how ethnic clothing can enhance individuals' personality and performance at work.
