center dot External forces leading to traumatic brain injury can result in injuries to multiple body regions, with chronic pain being a common sequela. center dot Posttraumatic headache has been described as the most prevalent type of pain attributed to mild traumatic brain injury, followed by pain in the neck, shoulders, back, and upper and lower limbs. center dot The combination of chronic pain, headache, and other conditions related to traumatic brain injury, such as cognitive impairment and psychiatric disorders, creates obstacles to rehabilitation and recovery. center dot Due to the complexity of pain and headache after traumatic brain injury, a multidisciplinary team -based approach is recommended.
