摘要
The present research paper introduces an ecologically conscious method for the production of un-doped and cadmium-doped nickel oxide nanoparticles (Cd-Ni-NP) utilizing the Salvadora persica extract. The nanoparticles synthesized underwent verification through a variety of analytical methods such as FESEM, FT-IR, PXRD, UV-Vis, EDX, and Raman analyzes. The outcomes derived from UV-Vis, PXRD, and EDX data's authenticated the effective incorporation of cadmium into the composition of nickel oxide, resulting in a growth in particle dimensions. The antimicrobial effectiveness of the prepared samples was tested against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. The results suggested that 5-Cd-Ni exhibited superior effectiveness when compared to the rest of the specimens. The impact of the produced nanoparticles on human breast cancer (MCF-7) and human umbilical vein endothelial (HUVEC) cells was assessed using the MTT assay. The findings showed that the cadmium-doped nanoparticles exhibited higher cytotoxic activity compared to the pure nanoparticles. Hence, the produced nanoparticles exhibit auspicious potential for applications in the field of biology and the treatment of cancer.
