摘要
Micro-textured surfaces are widely used in aerospace, electronics, biomedical, optics and other fields due to their excellent properties. By now there are many ways to obtain the desired Micro-textured surfaces including traditional machining technology, Non-traditional processing methods, etc. Among these ways, milling is widely used due to advantages of high efficiency, high precision and high flexibility, and so on. Simultaneously, milling approaches embracing micro-milling, fly-cutter milling, vibration-assisted milling, etc. are methods to fabricate surface textures. To get the current research advantages, difficulties and trends of micro-textured surfaces obtained using milling technology and corresponding applications, this paper takes a deep study on the state-of-theart literature review on micro-textured surfaces in the milling process. First, the applications and typical textures using milling are concluded. For the next step, the factors affecting the surface micro-texture machined by different milling methods and some new methods of surface texture generation are investigate. Finally, the achievements and challenges of milling micro-textured surfaces are summarized in the hope of providing some insights for further research.
