The article discusses the history of the St. Petka Stara Church in the city centre of Sofia based on data from publications, archival documents and photographs from the late 19(th) and early 20(th) centuries. All this gives us the opportunity to gain insight into the changes in the architectural appearance and historical fate of the church that occurred over several centuries.
