摘要
The construction sector is one of the most environmentally destructive, due to its consumption of resources and the generation of waste. In this work it is carried out a review of the tests done on concrete reinforced with natural vegetal fibres, with the aim of assessing the viability of their use, and thus achieve a more sustainable construction. The fibres studied are coconut, jute, cotton, sugar cane, hemp, flax and sisal. In addition, the study also analyses works about concrete reinforced with artificial fibres that are currently used, in order to carry out a comparative study. The analysis focuses on the physical and chemical properties of the fibres, as well as on the mechanical compressive and bending strength of the concrete when reinforced with these fibres. The sustainability of the different types of fibres is analysed.
