摘要
Six X65C steel pipe samples, with or without weld, were kept in a wet CO2 environment (500 and 1000 ppmv) under precisely defined conditions of temp. (4 and 30 degrees C) and pressure (12 and 15 MPa) prevailing at the beginning and end of pipeline, for 10 days. The change in mass and surface image of the samples was analyzed to det. the uniform corrosion rate and pit size. The tested X65C steel and weld were resistant to liq. CO2 contg. 50 ppmv and 1000 ppmv water because the detd. corrosion rate was less than 0.001 mm/year.
