摘要
The institutions of the health sector are spaces characterized as complex, in which the satisfaction of the workers is necessary, this ensures that the staff commits to the objectives of the organization, in that sense one of the perspectives that is gaining popularity is the emotional salary, focused on offering non -financial incentives to staff in an effort to promote their well-being inside and outside the organization. In relation to the reality posed, this article proposed the following objective: to describe emotional salary as a strategy aimed at job satisfaction in the health sector, from a documentary -descriptive design, based on the development of a critical -reflective analysis research and theories in the area. We found studies that seek to determine the level of emotional salary in the health sector, associating it with variables such as job satisfaction, performance, climate and organizational culture, which demonstrates its importance. It emphasizes the need to develop strategies aimed at increasing the positive perception of emotional salary for its positive implications on the welfare of staff and the quality of service delivery. Finally, it is concluded that initiatives should be designed from a systemic perspective assuming the complexity of the environment and of the human being, from its biological, psychological and socio-emotional understanding; from this perspective, the emotional salary is seen as a strategy aimed at job satisfaction in the health sector.
