摘要
Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors (SSNTDs), despite their simple construction, are highly effective for detecting ion-target interactions. This study examines these interactions using two different SSNTDs commonly used for detecting radon, thoron, and their decay products. The Monte Carlo Simulation Method was utilized to analyze these interactions and compare the performance of the two detectors. Additionally, the study employed various simulation codes, including SRIM, PHITS, CasP, FLUKA, and GEANT, to assess radiation damage and nuclear events in the target detectors when irradiated with alpha particles at different energies.
