摘要
Historical memory is based on the recovery of the rights of victims and their families regarding the violence suffered during the civil war and Franco's regime. In 2007, the PSOE created the Law of Historical Memory and, subsequently, during the government of Mariano Rajoy (PP) from 2011 to 2018, the budget dedicated to it was eliminated. Faced with this, cultural creations, and particularly cinema, have the possibility of making certain silenced voices visible and offering the audience a different perspective on the past. This research analyses what kind of documentary counter-narratives were promoted between 2011 and 2018 in the face of the political vacuum regarding historical memory, and also concludes whether they have a feminist tendency or not. The corpus of work is made up of documentaries directed by women: Cartas a Maria (Maite Garcia Ribot, 2014), Pero que todos sepan que no he muerto (Andrea Weiss, 2017), Muga deitzen da pausoa (Maider Oleaga, 2018) and Ojo Guare & ntilde;a (Edurne Rubio, 2018). Upon analysis, several common points are identified, such as the notion of collectivity, personal experiences, internal focus and the visibility of the cinematographic apparatus, among others.
