Effect of Particle Size on Mechanical Properties of CoCrMo-Ni@Al2O3 Composites Prepared by Selective Laser Melting

摘要
As one of the joints with the greatest load-bearing capacity, the hip joint requires high mechanical strength and plasticity. In this study, Ni-coated Al2O3 (Ni@Al2O3) particles of different size were employed to enhance the mechanical properties of selective laser melting (SLM)-processed CoCrMo alloys. CoCrMo-Ni@30 mu mAl(2)O(3) composites possessed the best comprehensive mechanical properties and underwent the gamma-epsilon martensite transition with the largest proportion of epsilon/gamma, which contributed to the inhibition of dislocation slip and the improvement of plasticity.
