摘要
This multilevel analysis investigated the mediating effects of emotional labor strategies between paternalistic leadership and teacher outcomes. With a sample of 1384 teachers, we found stronger and positive relationships between benevolence and deep acting/expression of naturally felt emotions, and between authoritarianism and surface acting. The total indirect effects between benevolence and work engagement were found to be significant and positive, but those between benevolence and turnover intention were not significant. For the total indirect effects of authoritarianism, the reverse was true. These findings highlight the different effects of various emotional labor strategies and the distinctive roles of paternalistic leadership dimensions.
