The Naval Architect is published in print and digital editions after it started getting published by the Royal Institute of Naval Architect (RINA) in 1971. The magazine has completed 50 years of its publication in 2021. Articles in the first issue of the magazine included ‘Some Impressions of British Shipbuilding; based on a presentation to RINA’s London branch by Sir William Swallow, chairman of the Shipbuilding Industry Broad. The 50th anniversary of the magazine is witness to significant advancements in the shipbuilding industry in the UK and around the world. Advancements in digitalization and connectivity are resulting the development of advanced and unmanned vessels for the future.
