摘要
In the steel industry, raw materials and the base of the materials are of significant importance; the production of metal alloys and the quality of semifinished products (sheets, blums, etc.) depend on the management of material flows (inputsraw materials, auxiliaries, and outputs -residues / waste). The paper analyses the material management activity within a steel company (steel mill) and identifies the degree of application of Best Available Techniques (BAT) related to steel production technology in electric arc furnace. Following the findings, the authors developed a series of recommendations and solutions according to the particularities of the management activity carried out within the analysed company.
