摘要
The objective discussed here is to question the negative name of populism during recent decades. Underlying its indiscriminate use are problematic conceptual substrates. Among these, we can point out the impediment to imagining political utopias from the common popular in the present, reproducing universal Western ethnocentrism views or facilitating the reproduction of the latest historical forms of economic liberalism. The edges of the topics discussed are complex, without a unidirectional interpretation. In this way, the proposal projects some reflections on the political, philosophical and historical conditions that can be reproduced from the use of the term populist in the present. A question that does not differ from the criticism of the current political forms, but does question the populist's name towards them in an abstract way.
