摘要
We synthesized calcium borate chlorides (Ca2BO3Cl) with different amounts of Tb4O7 (0.1, 0.5, 1.0%), and investigated photoluminescence, scintillation, and dosimetric characteristics. Photoluminescence and scintillation owing to the electronic transition between 4f levels of Tb3+ were observed, and the 0.1% Tb4O7-doped Ca2BO3Cl exhibited the highest intensity. Further, thermal stimulated luminescence (TSL) glow peaks appeared at approximately 90, 140, and 340 degrees C from the fabricated Ca2BO3Cl, and the 0.1% Tb4O7-doped Ca2BO3Cl with the largest glow peak intensity exhibited a dose response in the 10-10000 mGy range. Moreover, the fabricated Ca2BO3Cl showed optical stimulated luminescence (OSL) owing to the electronic transition between 4f levels of Tb3+, and three OSL exponential decay components were detected from the fabricated Ca2BO3Cl, suggesting the presence of at least three detrapping processes for OSL.
