摘要
In this study, we present a technique for modeling a turbulent multicomponent fluid with variable density using a two-fluid approach. This method extends an existing two-fluid turbulence model for handling multi-component fluids with variable density. We verified the model by applying it to circular jets of helium, air, or carbon dioxide injected into the ambient air. The numerical results obtained for these isothermal cases were compared with previously reported experimental data. The results demonstrate that the two-fluid turbulence model accurately describes the dynamics and mass transfer in a turbulent multicomponent fluid with variable density. © 2021
