摘要
Looking at fan fiction writing as a personally meaningful activity, this paper covers the preliminary stage in developing a model to look at this creative activity based on extant document experience literature and models. Initial data analysis points to the importance of the social context in which the activity takes place, highlighting the role that social ties in the form of fellow readers play in the process. Exploratory in nature and coming as a byproduct of data analysis, it is hoped this will aid conceptual development in information and document experience, while adding to studies that look at personally meaningful information activities. 83rd Annual Meeting of the Association for Information Science & Technology October 25-29, 2020.
