摘要
This study aims to identify compounds in liquid coal using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and X-ray spectroscopy. GC-MS is used to analyze the compounds in coal liquefaction, while X-Ray is used to analyze the compounds' homogeneity in the liquid coal dregs. The dominant compounds are methyl and naphthalene. Naphthalene is an aromatic hydrocarbon with a crystalline white solid form and two united benzene rings. These compounds are volatile, and easily evaporable even in solid form, and the vapor produced is flammable. Hydrocarbon compounds are the primary substance that makes up the fuel. Compared with the hydrocarbon group, the most stable molecule found in many organic compounds, the methyl groups are usually part of a larger molecule. Methyl reactivity depends on the substituent adjacent. Methyl groups can be very active. The hydrocarbon homogeneity influence in the liquid coal dregs is powerful because they have great ionic strength, polar properties, and high melting points. This is supported by the fact that the composition of the hydrocarbon compound remaining in the liquid coal dreg is greater than that of the other compounds and shows that coal residue can transform into a new fuel. © 2023 Science Press.
