摘要
Noise multiplication modulation can not only obtain radar signal processing gain, but also aim at the frequency of radar signal automatically, which has been widely used in many important battlefield scenarios, such as target penetration. By applying its basic principle, a smart jamming method against synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is proposed, which is based on multiplication modulation. Without modifying the modulation procedures of intercepted signal, the proposed jamming method an produce suppression or deception jamming flexibly by the offline design of the modulation template. Firstly, the jamming signal model is established and its imaging result is deduced. Then, the generation method of modulation template is explained in detail. Finally, the jamming performance is analyzed theoretically. Simulation results demonstrate that only by the design of modulation template can the proposed jamming method achieve scenario suppression or false target deception. The jamming results have little dependence on reconnaissance precision. The modulation procedures are simple and effective, which is convenient for engineering practice. © 2021, Editorial Office of Systems Engineering and Electronics. All right reserved.
