Das Fibromyalgiesyndrom (FMS) ist ein häufiges Krankheitsbild. Es geht mit multiplen Symptomen insbesondere einem generalisierten Schmerz einher. Die Genese des FMS ist unklar, bei den Patienten findet sich eine Vielzahl von i. d. R. funktionellen Befunden. Insofern ist es naheliegend, das FMS als Funktionserkrankung zu verstehen und entsprechend zu therapieren.
