摘要
Phase morphology of rubber particles in acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resin is non-precisely controllable. In view of the above problem, styrene-acrylonitrile random copolymers and styrene-acrylonitrile/butadiene block copolymers were synthesized by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) emulsion polymerization and ABS resins based on block copolymers were prepared by blending. The influence of the molecular structure of block copolymers on the phase morphology and mechanical properties of materials was investigated. The results showed that ABS resin with uniformly dispersed rubber particles could be obtained by latex blending. Compared with commercial products, ABS resin using diblock copolymer as the toughening resin exhibited excellent comprehensive properties. When the toughening resin was replaced by triblock copolymer, the tensile fracture toughness of ABS resin could be further improved, but its notched impact performance decreased significantly. © 2022 Zhejiang University.
