Research on the impact of servitization on manufacturing firm performance

At present, the service-oriented transformation has become an important choice for many manufacturing firms to obtain competitive advantages. Based on previous studies, this paper discusses the influence of servitization on financial performance and market performance from the theoretical level and proposes the research hypotheses. Based on the panel data of 420 samples from 84 firms over the span of 5 years, regression analysis is performed using Stata15.1 to test the theoretical model hypotheses. The research results show that servitization has a u-shaped relationship with financial performance and a positive linear relationship with market performance. According to the theoretical and empirical research results, this paper further puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions.
