摘要
Abstract—: The article presents the results of assessing the progress of Russian oil and gas companies in achieving targets of reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The applied method was based on comparing the expected and actual rates for companies’ achievement of declared targets to reduce in GHG emissions. It has been estimated that the actual rate of emission reduction deviated from the expected rate for the Russian oil and gas companies that stated quantitative targets for decarbonization. The average actual annual emission reduction rate of Russian companies is 2.625% per year while that of global companies is 1.195% per year for the comparable period. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. 2024.
