摘要
A cavity flame holder is a conventional method for the injection of fuel in a scramjet engine. In the present study, computational fluid dynamics is applied to investigate the usage of an extruded nozzle for the enhancement of fuel mixing inside the combustion chamber of supersonic vehicles. The goal of this proposed investigation is to explore the effects of an extruded nozzle in a cavity flame holder setup. The key focus of this research is to disclose the role of the interaction of injection fuel with circulation in the fuel mixing mechanism. Both annular jets and coaxial air and fuel jets are investigated in this work. In addition, the influence of nozzle length is also investigated. The three-dimensional model is chosen to analyze the fuel distribution within the cavity. Our results show that the injection of the fuel via an extruded nozzle enhances the fuel diffusion in the cavity through higher interaction with the main circulation. Besides, the higher length of the extruded nozzle is more efficient for the efficient fuel mixing.
