摘要
Whether the intensity of environmental regulation affects the progress of low -carbon technology is an important issue faced by the development of low -carbon economy in the new era. From a macro perspective, this article selects panel data from 30 provincial -level administrative regions in China from 2000 to 2009 for analysis. The impact and mechanism of environmental regulation intensity on low -carbon technological progress are analyzed. The empirical results indicate that the increase in environmental regulation intensity has significantly promoted the progress of low -carbon technology in the region. The subsample test shows that this effect is greater in the eastern region than in the central and western regions, but there is no significant difference in the impact of environmental regulatory intensity on the progress of the two types of low -carbon technologies. The mechanism test shows that regional labor costs research and development capabilities have moderating effects on the above effects. These low -carbon technologies have been widely applied in various fields of the Internet of Things.
