摘要
To improve the mechanical properties of hybrid nano-composites, this experimental study compares with and without carbon fiber. Sisal, polypropylene (PP) fibers, and SiO2 nanofiller are the plain composites in this study. The main goal is to evaluate how changes to the composite while reinforcing carbon fiber affect the overall mechanical performance of sisal, polypropylene, and SiO2 nanofiller hybrid composites. Carbon fiber is combined with sisal fibers, and PP with Nanofiller to create hybrid nano-composites. Tensile, flexural, and impact strengths are among the mechanical qualities that are carefully examined. G-power computations, utilizing 80% power and α = 0.05, guarantee a strong statistical examination and a suitable sample size for the empirical investigation. The mechanical properties of carbon fiber compositions exhibit substantial changes (p < 0.05) as revealed by statistical analysis using techniques such as SPSS's t-tests. The impact, flexural, and tensile strengths of the hybrid nano-composites are significantly improved by carbon reinforcement. The composite materials improved their tensile, and flexural, impact by 12%, 22%, and 9%, respectively, while carbon fiber is added to the materials. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
