摘要
The influences of annealing methods and annealing parameters on the residual stress and tensile properties of polycarbonate(PC) were investigated. The quantitative analysis results by the photoelastic test show that the annealing can significantly reduce the residual stress of PC, and the residual stress decreases with the increase of annealing temperature and annealing time. While higher the annealing temperature is, lower the influence difference on the residual stress of PC is with the variation of the annealing temperature and annealing time. In addition, the results of the tensile test indicate that when the annealing temperature is 130℃ and the annealing time is 4 h, the tensile strength is increased by 5.5% by the first annealing method, which is that annealing occurs immediately after PC removed from the injection mould. However, the tensile strength is decreases by 8.7% by the second annealing method, which is that annealing occurs after PC cooled completely. Besides, the comprehensive analysis shows the change of the tensile strength during annealing is the result of the coupling effect of flow residual stress and thermal residual stress. Because that decrease of the flow residual stress decreases the tensile strength, but decrease of the thermal residual stress increases the tensile strength. © 2019, Editorial Board of Polymer Materials Science & Engineering.
