摘要
This paper aims to discuss the theoretical- methodological developments of contemporary novelistic hybridism based on the graphic novel as a literary genre, and the concept of fold presented by Deleuze. We intend to present what makes the graphic novel a novel's fold and therefore a literary work; the graphic novel as hybrid work and, as well, the proximity between the graphic novel and the literature considered minor, according to Deleuze and Gattari (2003). As theoretical support for our reflections we intent to use the previous studies of Deleuze (1988), Sousanis (2017), Garramuno (2014), Lukacs (2009) and Reuter (1995), among others and the graphic novel Aya of Yop City, by Marguerite Abouet and Clement Oubrerie in order to exemplify our reflections.
