摘要
The overweight and obesity are preventable diseases whose treatment is multidisciplinary and focuses on lifestyle changes; in addition to drugs used to support weight loss and control various harmful cardiometabolic parameters. The aim of this review was to analyze the pharmacological efficacy in the treatment of overweight and obesity in adults. A systematic review of articles published in the last 5 years was carried out, extracted from the Pubmed, Scopus and Cochrane databases, according to quality standards according to the PRISMA P methodology. There was a significant reduction in body weight with the antiobesogenic drugs studied: Orlistat, Liraglutide, PhentermineTopiramate in a period of up to 2 years of its use. There is no clear evidence of efficacy with the use of Naltrexone-Bupropion, Phentermine-Liraglutide and Phentermine-Fenfluramine.Therefore, antiobesogenic drug therapy constitutes an effective alternative in reducing body weight in overweight and obese adults.
