摘要
To deal with the challenges encountered in the construction of underground space represented by shield tunnels, such as complex geological conditions, dense urban space, narrow construction area, sensitive neighboring structure, high requirements of environmental protection etc., the opportunities brought by the information society must be seized to use intelligent means to promote tunnel digital construction.Through a series of case studies, it is pointed out that, for the intelligent construction of shield tunnel, except for the investigation on the basic technology, it is necessary to adopt intelligent means and deeply integrate the advanced design and construction technology through the new information and communication technology, so as to produce a new intelligent construction method with self perception, self-learning, self adaptation, self decision-making, etc. Moreover, the advantages brought by the 5G era should be used to control the whole process of planning, design, construction, operation maintenance, and management. Thus, the tunnel system has the capabilities of sensing, interconnection, analysis, prediction, control, etc.in a local area, or even in a larger space-time range.Multi-technology integration and application will become the key point of intelligent construction in tunnel engineering. The construction of underground space through the digital and intelligent means in all stages including planning, design, construction and operation, will play an important role in the development of smart city. © 2021, The Editorial Board of Journal of Basic Science and Engineering.
