In order to apply model-based systems engineering (MBSE) to the study of the vehicle logic for EMU, SysML is selected as the modeling language. Using Magic Draw as the modeling tool, the OFAP (Operational, Functional, Architecture, Physical) method for EMU logic is proposed. The method horizontally includes four abstract levels: business layer, functional layer, architecture layer and physical layer, and vertically includes static and dynamic models. In the process of modeling, it starts from the stakeholders of EMU logic, and the target system is treated as black box, gray box, and white box in turn by adopting forward design. On this basis, the specific implementation of how to realize the business, functional, architecture and physical modeling of the vehicle logic for EMU is analyzed. The results show that MBSE idea and OFAP method can be used to realize the unified description of the business analysis, functional decomposition, architectural expression and the physical components of the vehicle logic for EMU, and to trace the data in the whole chain from demand, function to physical implementation. Due to the uniqueness of the model and interface, the method solves such problems as the inaccuracy of information representation, the difficulty of search and modification in the traditional document-based mode, and realizes the transformation of the vehicle logic data for EMU from "text-based" to "model-based". © 2021, Editorial Department of China Railway Science.
