Abstract: This article is dedicated to the main issues related to the results of an experimental study aimed at modeling the process of shaving–rolling of cylindrical gears rolling while turning with a special combined cutting–deforming tool—the cutter of a cylindrical workpiece divided into working sections. Significant attention is paid to the analysis of the experimental results, which makes it possible to simulate in laboratory conditions the process of machining a large batch of gears. Basic precision parameters for processing workpiece sections have been determined, and the limits of the beginning of the tool’s technological wear have been identified. © Allerton Press, Inc. 2024.
