摘要
The digital twin of a production system comprises the contents of the lifecycle record (structures and documents) and interfaces to status data. This interpretation of the term is explained and is differentiated from the Asset Administratioin Shell. A central challenge for the use of digital twins is their sustainable and economic use througout the system's life cycle. Therefore, approaches are presented here to create it effectively during engineering, efficiently apply as well as update it in operation and an outlook on the need for exchanging digital twins between companies is given. © Carl Hanser Verlag GmbH & Co.
