The low-frequency strong acoustic wave can cause the vibration of the air medium, thus promoting the collision and agglomeration of droplets in the fluid medium and realize the gravity settlement. In this study, the isotopic response characteristics of droplets of river and rain sources under the sound waves intervention were investigated. Through laboratory experiments and theoretical analysis, the effects of environmental and droplet physical parameters on the D-18O isotopic value during droplets settling were studied. The results show that:(1) The characteristic size of droplets increases after acoustic intervention, and isotope exchange occurs during droplet settlement. The isotope values were affected by droplet parameters such as size distribution and surface area and acoustic parameters such as frequency and sound intensity.(2) The theoretical value of droplet isotope can better fit the linear relationship between δ18O and δD and reasonably reflect the cross-close phenomenon, and the relative error is less than 5.53 %. The atmospheric isotope characteristics studied in this paper have certain reference for understanding the isotope variation characteristics of field precipitation. © 2022, The Editorial Board of Journal of Basic Science and Engineering.
