High-dimensional hyperchaos and its control in a modified laser system subjected to optical injection

摘要
In this paper, we consider the modified single-mode rate equations of semiconductor lasers (SCLs) wherefrom the high dimension of complex dynamics of hyperchaotic islands is studied. Detailed analytical and numerical analysis are investigated under the conjugated impact of three decisive parameters of SCL-systems most specifically, the impact of a new hyperchaotic parameter. Thereby, various quantifying dynamic methods are applied and underscore high-dimensional hyperchaotic states as well as fractal characteristics of new hyperchaotic attractors featuring an entangled central part. The high dimension of the said hyperchaos is also supported by a constructive interference of specific control parameters used which give arise to a complex dynamics of the maximum Lyapunov exponent by means of various two-parameter bifurcation diagrams. Additionally, several cross-sections of Poincar & eacute; map bring out odd folded dynamical structures and irregular truncated torus pertaining thereto. In this light, the electronic circuit of the modified model is constructed and simulated in the PSpice environment so as to further support analytical and numerical findings. Finally, controlling hyperchaos is structurally investigated, resulting in the suppression of hyperchaotic states with the generation of continuous wave emission, periodic and quasi-periodic attractors.
