Synthesis, structure, property and application of a variety of cadmium complexes with hydrazine based bis-pyridine Schiff base ligands have been reported in the literature. The synthetic strategies, structures and application of these complexes have been discussed in this review. It is noteworthy that only those complexes are considered in this review whose X-ray structures are available. The discussion also includes less explored areas of potential applications of these complexes. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.
