摘要
Electrospinning nanofiber technology has emerged as a promising paradigm with diverse biomedical applications. Various electrospinning techniques are employed to produce a wide range of nanofibers using both natural and synthetic materials as precursors. The biodegradation and biocompatibility of these nanofibers offer numerous opportunities for versatile pharmaceutical applications. Surface functionalization and modification further enhance the scope for therapeutic and biomedical uses. Electrospun nanofibers exhibit multifaceted biomedical applications, including wound healing, tissue regeneration, drug delivery, and antimicrobial activity. In addition to conventional biomedical applications, nanofibers show potential for theranostic applications, encompassing biosensing, bioimaging, and diagnostic purposes for the detection of various disease conditions. This comprehensive literature explores electrospinning nanofiber technology and its theranostic applications, highlighting opportunities, challenges, and future perspectives in this field.
