摘要
Background: Hemangioma is the most common benign vascular tumor in infants and young children. Early treatment of hemangioma may potentially prevent complications. Various treatment approaches for hemangiomas have been reported and widely used, including a wait -and -see policy, laser treatment, drug treatment, sclerotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery. However, no treatment can be used for all hemangiomas. The use of copper wire might be used as an alternative therapy for cavernous hemangioma. Case Presentation : A 21 -year -old male complained of a reddish, rubbery, and pulsating lump on the left cheek and neck. Physical examination and radiologic examination were performed to diagnose the patient. A suspicion of vascular lesions was made. A copper wire insertion approach was used for therapy management. Conclusion: The use of percutaneous copper needles to induce therapeutic coagulation is an effective option for cavernous hemangioma treatment.
