Hello Everyone, As I sit down to write this message, I have a real sense of déjà vu, with still little travel available and few face-To-face events. However, there is a general 'opening up'. I know some of my colleagues in the USA are travelling more for work and vacation. Here in the UK and the European Union, travel is becoming less restrictive. I am looking forward to the United States' significant restrictions on travel to the USA being lifted in the coming weeks. We can hope that the coming (northern hemisphere) winter will not lead to the situation getting much worse and that 2022 will see things returning to normal. Or rather 'the new normal' the cliché now has it. Clearly, the enhancements of virtual meetings and our improved understanding of how to interact with them give us opportunities to have meetings and connect with colleagues that we would not have done a couple of years ago. I'm looking forward to see how we balance the face-To-face and virtual aspects of our technical and geographical activities. © 2012 IEEE.
