摘要
Jeffrey J. Urban is a Facility Director of Inorganic Nanostructures at the Molecular Foundry and Senior Scientist in the Molecular Foundry Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He earned his PhD at Harvard studying scaling laws in phase transitions in correlated electron materials and completed postdoctoral training at UPenn and IBM in thermal and photonic applications of nanocrystal-based devices. His group is highly multidisciplinary and studies heat/ charge/mass transport, energy storage, water/energy resource management, and catalysis. His cross -disciplinary group has >200 publications in fields spanning materials science, physics, chemical and mechanical engineering, chemistry, and civil engineering.
