Predicting the Postreactive Strength (CSR) and Reactivity (CRI) of Dry-Slaked Metallurgical Coke on the Basis of Audibert-Arnu Dilatometry

摘要
The dependence of the postreactive strength (CSR) and reactivity (CRI) of coke on the quality of the coal batch is described in mathematical form. The values of CSR and CRI depend on characteristics of the batch such as the Audibert-Arnu expansion index b, the vitrinite reflection coefficient and its dispersion, the content of ash and its basicity, the degree of grinding of the batch, and its moisture content. They also depend on the length of the furnace run. The relation between the plastic-layer thickness y and b is established.
