摘要：
PHIGs is a useful tool for the creation of CAD/CAM software. More is needed, however, to provide proper support for the creation Of custom CAD/CAM software. The paper describes an applications-programming environment, CADMADE, that has been designed to be a framework for standard support software that will help a CAD/CAM programmer to create new, custom CAD/CAM applications software. CADMADE is not a description of software, but a suggested set of rules and characteristics that is needed to create an applications-programming environment.
