摘要
According to Cassinelli (1984), E.B. Churchwell in 1984 observing sigma Ori A with the Very Large Array discovered that the helium strong star sigma Ori E is a radio source. Combining the results of surveys by Drake et al. (1987), Willson et al. (1988) and Linsky et al. (1992), the number of known CP star radio sources is 15 out of the 58 observed. Leone & Umana (1993) have shown that the radio emission from the helium strong stars HD 37017 and sigma Ori E varies with the rotational period. In order to enlarge the sample of radio sources and to identify new radio variables, we observed 40 magnetic CP stars with the VLA at 6 cm, combining our results with previous survey results, the incidence of radio sources is 31% for helium rich stars, 26% for helium weak stars, 23% for silicon stars and it is zero for cool magnetic CP stars.
