Old ways to new cities

Writing by Lewis Mumford that presents his views on the english New Towns. He emphasizes on the fact that the city, above all, is a medium that must provide social contact and satisfactions. When spaces within the cities become broader and urban sprawl occurs, citizens are left without comfortable settings for their activities and the "theatre" of their daily life is left out of focus.
