LUMINESCENCE OF EU3+-DOPED MATERIALS EXCITED BY VUV SYNCHROTRON RADIATION

摘要
Luminescence excitation spectra of Eu3+ impurities in oxide, fluoride and oxyfluoride have been obtained in the 100 to 300 nm range using VUV synchrotron radiation. Host excitation band to band transitions have been observed between 100-200 nm. Charge transfer bands in Eu-O and Eu-F have been determined at around 250 nm and below 200 nm respectively. Introduction of fluoride ions in the host lattice shifts all the features towards a higher energy region.
