摘要
Robinia pseudoacacia was grown in forest soils to determine rates and magnitude of rhizosphere acidification. Results support the idea that pH gradients in the rhizosphere will vary by soil. Thus, bulk soil assays of nutrient availability of microbial populations probably will not reflect conditions seen by plant roots, depending on the nutrient or organism in question. -from Authors
